Award Winning Star

If you’ve been reading motor magazines lately you may of seen this name creep up, the new Range Rover Evoque. The picture in this article is not the Range Rover Evoque but rather the mildly modified Khan version. This is the 5-door version, there is also a 3-door to choose from. Released only a few weeks ago, the new RR looks very modern and stylish, but it would have to be as Posh Beckham was the one who designed it.

It has one many awards lately, 4×4 Magazine proclaimed the Evoque its 4×4 of the Year, and this was swiftly followed by the Car of the Year title from the Czech Republic, and Best SUV from the Brazilian automotive news agency Auto Press, Car of the Year in the UK AutoExpress New Car Honours, Scottish Car of the Year, US Motor Trend’s SUV of the Year, BBC Top Gear’s Car of the Year, Car and Driver Spain Car of the Year, the Design Trophy from l’Automobile in France and a host of honours from Chinese organisations and publications. These are only a few of the currently 53 awards the Evoque has won.

Overall a pretty good car then, with a 2.0 liter or 2.2 liter engine with a range of power from 190 BHP to 240 BHP. Top speed ranges from 112 MPH to 135 MPH. 0-60 MPH times are between 10.6 Secs and 7.1 Secs.

So with figures as impressive as that, would you vote the RR Evoque, or an Audi Q3 or BMW X1 instead?
